PSAT / NMQST
Juniors and Sophomores:
The
PSAT
exam will be given at DHS on
Saturday, October 1
7,
2009,
8:00 am – 11:30 am
in the DHS Multipurpose Room.
$18.00
registration fee
turn in to
Angela Scheuring in C105.
Exact cash or a check payable to ‘Dixon High School’
is required.
Sign up days: Monday, Sept. 28 through Friday, Oct
2
Deadline for signing up is Oct
2.
PSAT is strongly recommended for juniors planning to
attend a four year college.
Sophomores may also take this exam.
Seating is limited; first come, first served.
Fee waivers are available for qualified low income
juniors.
Alternate test date
ONLY
for DHS Band students
and X-Country runners
will be Wednesday, October 14,
2009.
Sign ups will be coordinated by Adrian Coulson in
the Band Room.

PSAT/NMSQT is a standardized test that provides
firsthand practice for the SAT Reasoning Test™.
It also gives you a chance to enter
National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC)
scholarship programs.
The PSAT/NMSQT measures critical reading skills,
math20problem-solving skills, and writing skills.
This test is
administered by high schools, not through test
centers;
therefore you must sign up for the test at DHS.

for a copy of the
Official Student Guide to the PSAT/NMSQT
to h elp you prepare.
NOTE:
Online registration for the PSAT/NMSQT is
not
available.
