CAHSEE

California High School Exit Exam

Mandatory prior to graduation

and students must pass both Math and Language Arts portions.

 

CAHSEE is normally administered 3 times a year. 

September testing is offered to DHS juniors and seniors only.

 February testing is for all sophomores

and those seniors who haven't yet passed it. 

March testing is for juniors and seniors who haven't passed.

Example:   Oct 2009

 

On October 6th and October 7th

the California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE)

will be administered at Dixon High School.

 

All 11th grade students, 12th grade students, and

students who have exited Dixon High School within the last two years

and have yet to pass the CAHSEE will be provided an opportunity to retake this exam.

 

The CAHSEE will begin at 8:30 am on October 6th and 9:00 am on October 7th.

 

Each person must bring a photo I.D.

 

If you are no longer attending Dixon High School

and would like to take participate in theses exams

please contact Cindy Moody-Perkins, Assistant Principal at 693-6330.

 

The primary purpose of the CAHSEE,

which is mandated by state law,

is to ensure that students who graduate from high school

can demonstrate grade-level competency

in the state's academic content standards for

reading, writing, and mathematics.

 

Your child must satisfy the CAHSEE requirement

as well as meet all other state and local requirements

to earn a high school diploma.

 

Example:   Oct 2007

 

The California High School Exit Examination will occur next week

on Tuesday, Oct. 2nd and Wednesday, Oct. 3rd

for 11th and 12th graders who have yet to pass this exam.  

Students who will participate in the CAHSEE will receive a pass from their 3rd period teacher. 

Keep this pass until the day of the exam. 

On the day of the CAHSEE these student will report to the Multi-purpose room

at the beginning of 1st period (You will not go to your 1st period class). 

You are required to bring a photo I.D. and two No. 2 pencils. 

If you believe that you still need to participate and did not receive a pass,

please see Ms. Moody-Perkins on Monday the day before the CAHSEE takes place.
