Sportsfans,
I need to "ink" parties interested in working:
1.) Water sales inside the MayFair Arena for the Demolition Derby. Hours for the water-sellers would be from 4:30 - 9:30 p.m. 2.) Parking duty at the New DHS parking lot. Based upon our previous MayFair experience, and the fact that crowds for the Derby (and fireworks to follow); the lot should be staffed from 4:00 - 10:00 P.M.
If we are able to get 15 - 20 people for parking, we would create two shifts (4 - 7:00, 7 - 10:00) to make it easier for everyone.
Materials: We need signs made for parking. 3 - 4 "Overflow Parking" signs with directional arrows (about the size of realty-style sandwich boards) would be great, and 3 - 4 "Event Parking" with left turn arrows, are needed. Lastly, a big, beautiful DSAB sign with our logo stating that
"Your Parking Fee is a Donation to Dixon School Athletics"
For water sales we need 6 ice chests w/wheels, 4 large ice chests for back-up stock. We will need 6 teams (1 adult with cash, 1 student/athlete "runner") and 2 - 3 people to make sure the ice chests are continuously stocked. Derby workers receive entry to the Derby, although your backs may be away from the action!
